Punta de Mita is located in Nayarit, Mexico. It is a small town on the Pacific coast of Mexico at the mouth of the Rio Grande de Santiago. Punta de Mita is also known as the Malibu of Mexico because of its beautiful beaches and exquisite resorts. The easiest way to get there is to rent a car in Puerto Vallarta and drive the 40 minutes south. If you don't have your own vehicle, you can take a bus or rent a bicycle. Taking a cab from downtown Puerto Vallarta should cost about $20, but if you go through a travel agency they can offer to pick you up at your hotel and drop you off at one of the entrances to Punta de Mita beach.
