In spite of not being very extensive, it is one of the most beautiful and curious beaches of the whole community. It is an inland beach with no direct access to the sea, with a subway water inlet, surrounded by cliffs and green agricultural meadows which can only be accessed by walking from the beach of San Antolin or from Naves.
It was declared a Natural Monument in 2001, in addition to being part of the Protected Landscape of the Eastern Coast of Asturias. It is about 40 meters long, and consists of fine white sand and salt water. Being an inland beach and due to its depth, it looks like a salt pool, perfect for soaking with children and covered from the wind. Gulpiyuri has no services and is not easily accessible due to its geographical location.
