Finally, we will leave you with another classic within the beaches of the Canary Islands, and specifically Fuerteventura, Sotavento Beach. As far as landscapes are concerned, the Playa de Sotavento could say that it is the most spectacular of the beaches of Fuerteventura, it looks like something out of a dream, or an advertisement for vacations in the Caribbean. However, this tropical paradise is located here in Spain.
At Sotavento Beach, the waters, rather than being blue in color, begin to turn a greenish tone. Undoubtedly, this is caused by a barrier of sand that is in the water and that make some shallow water areas are formed that acquire this tone by the reflection of the sun.
Actually, it is a set of several virgin beaches that seem to be separated by these points of sand barrier that we mentioned. However, if there is something that should be noted is that it is one of those beaches that are a strategic point in water sports, Playa de Sotavento is known worldwide as a paradise for lovers of windsurfing and kitesurfing, here, even held major competitions.
