Santa Clara Beach is possibly the one that most surprises strangers when they visit San Sebastian. Why? For the simple fact that this beach is located on an island, the Island of Santa Clara, just a few meters away and well visible from the coast of Guipuzcoa. In addition, Santa Clara Beach is only available at low tide hours, since it is then completely submerged by the tides. And how do we get to this beach? We have several options, on the one hand many are those who venture to get there swimming since at low tide hours is practically walking almost all the way to the island, plus it is relatively close. There are kayak or canoe rentals on the coast. There is also a motorboat service in summer and Easter week that leaves every half hour from the port to the pier of the island.
